RJM Announces Executive Appointment: President

Dallas Texas -- Randall James Monroe, Inc., a Dallas based global executive search consultancy announces the successful completion of the following executive search assignment for:

MeteorComm Communications Corporation - President

This engagement resulted in the appointment of Robert Turnbull as President. His charter will be to work closely with the senior leadership team and Management Committee in setting the strategic and tactical direction for MeteorComm to deliver and support an open standards-based, interoperable Positive Train Control (PTC) Communication System for all railroad companies requiring compliance with the 2008 Railroad Safety Improvement Act and Federal Railroad Administration PTC mandate.

MeteorComm Communications Corporation is based in Kent, Washington and is the leading provider of mission critical mobile wireless communication networks to the railroad industry. MeteorComm is jointly-owned by the four (4) largest railroad companies in the United States-comprised of BNSF Railway (BNSF), Union Pacific (UP), Norfolk Southern (NS) and CSX.

Ushering in a new era in rail safety, an interoperability agreement has been signed to join together and implement an automatic train control system that prevents train collisions and over speed accidents, meeting the criteria of the 2008 Railroad Safety Improvement Act (RSIA) mandating the implementation of positive train control (PTC) on certain railroad mainlines.
