LEADERSHIP EXPERTS WEIGH IN ON NEW CHALLENGES

(PRWEB) September 22, 2006 -- DALLAS, Texas -- The SIMposium 2006 annual practitioner-driven IT leadership conference was planned and hosted by the Society for Information Management DFW Chapter this year. The program titled “Driving Business Value on the Technology Frontier” was comprised of four tracks: Driving Business Value, Emerging Technologies, Achieving Operational Excellence (Best Practices), and Building a Leadership Team for the Future.

Randy Neal, CEO of Randall James Monroe, Inc., a Dallas based global executive search consultancy provided his perspective for IT leaders and practitioners—as the team of industry thought leaders weighed in on the topic of “Building a Leadership Team for the Future.” Speaking to the new challenges faced in corporate America, other program panelists included Mary Finlay, CIO Partners Healthcare Systems, Renee Baker Arrington, Vice President Pearson Partner International, Inc. M. Steven Kendrick, Information Officer Practice Consultant Spencer Stuart, Mark Schor Ph.D., and Senior Vice President of Executive Services for Right Management Consultants.

Neal, noted, “The panel addressed ongoing challenges that companies will face in building a leadership team for the future. This included providing some helpful insight on how to find and attract “A” level leadership, followed by, how do you determine if candidates are, in fact, “A” level executive talent. And then once onboard, how do you maximize the potential and leadership development of your key people.”

Neal went on to say, “This break-out session was very well attended by technology leaders from many sectors of industry and the feedback was very positive. The attendees were provided with an in-depth perspective and some meaningful and practical solutions to real issues that they, as Information Technology leaders face on a daily basis.”
